Adriana de Barros is a Portuguese-Canadian artist and writer.
For over 10 years she worked as a designer for her family’s clothing company having gained experience in fashion and graphic design. She also worked with local and international clients through her studio Breathewords—specializing in various fields from web and brand design to illustration.
de Barros’ creative trademark is her multi-disciplined exploration of art, cinema, music and literature, which she incorporates into projects that span from film-like visual poems to founding the fifteen-year-old online magazine, Scene 360.
At present, she runs Illusion, a Webby-winning online magazine that has received over 45 million visitors. And with her involvement and expertise in online projects since 1997, she is often requested consulting in design, development, and social media.
As for de Barros’ personal art, it has been displayed in group art shows, and she has been a speaker at the OFFF event and universities.
